2011 BCBA Holiday Party
December 8; RSVPs Due December 2

The annual BCBA Holiday Party will be held on Thursday evening, December
8, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Columbia Country Club, 2210
Country Club Dr., Columbia, MO 65201. Spouses and dates are invited and
welcome. A new feature this year will be a collection for the Food Bank.
RSVPs are due by noon on Friday, December 2.
Featured
entertainment for the evening will be a local jazz band, the Missing
Window Trio. A band poster appears above.
The format will be a
mixer with heavy hors d'oeuvres. There will be a host bar providing soft
drinks, beer and wine. Mixed drinks will be available for purchase. A
very brief program will take place at 7 p.m.
This year, instead
of the party being just about bar members having a good time, we will
also focus on giving to others in the holiday spirit. We will be
collecting for the Food Bank , which helps many hungry people in our
area. It also sends a lot of food to Joplin for the tornado victims,
which has been an issue of particular concern for our bar members.
Here's how it will work:
! We're asking each person to bring
about $5 worth of non-perishable food items to the party --packages,
bottles, cans. The Food Bank provide and pick up collection bins. If you
bring food, your admission price will be $20 per person.
! If you
prefer not to bring food or cannot do so for some reason, your admission
price will be $25, and the bar will donate $5 to the Food Bank on your
behalf.
We must have RSVPs for the Holiday Party by noon on
December 2. Please RSVP to BCBA Secretary Gretchen Yancey, P.O. Box 584,
Columbia, MO 65205, phone and fax 514 4061, email
Gretchen@TheYanceyLawFirm.com.
You can pay at the door. If
you RSVP but end up not being able to come, we will still need for you
to pay since the bar will have to pay the Country Club based on the
number who made reservations.
